These technical requirements must be met in order to be able to use the Tactical Communication Tool needs and shull be met in order to be able to install and run TCT correctly.
Supported operating systems are:
Windows 8, 8.1
Note that TCT is not compatible with Windows XP and Vista.
Acrobat Reader 8 or later (or equivalent PDF reader) is required to read this manual and the user manual.
The minimum configuration must be met to run TCT. However, for the best user experience and performance, the recommended configuration is preferred.
Recently, map data management and demanding coverage chart calculation place the highest demands on the host system. By adding computer capacity, more system memory (RAM) and using SSD hard drives, performance will increase. TCT is developed for multi-threaded calculations, which means that calculations can be run on several cores in parallel.
Processor: Intel Pentium i3 or better
System memory: 4 GB RAM
Hard disk: At least 3 GB free space for TCT and extra free space for installed geodata packages,
of which size depends on the package / packages installed, about 50 GB.
Graphics card: Depending on the map engine used, support for OpenGL 1.1 or later is required
Processor: Intel Pentium i5 or better
System memory: 8 GB RAM or more.
Hard disk drive: SSD hard disk drive with at least 3 GB free space for TCT and extra free space for installed geodata packages, the size of which depends on the package installed, approximately 50 GB.
Graphics card: Depending on the map engine used, support for OpenGL 1.1 or later is required. Note that better graphics cards can increase performance and therefore the user experience in the map view.
